What's the symbolism behind mythological creatures? Can we express our identity throug art? Is it posible to tell a story through an image, when words fall short? These are all questions the Artistic Expresión students have made themselves. In this artwork, they were asked to invent and draw a mythological creature which represents their identity. After learning some basis about human anatomy and mythological creatures in art history, they started asking themselves some questions as "Which animal would represent my identity? How can I combine it with a human being to create a mythological creature that efficiently conveys the symbolism I'm looking for?". They haven't finished their creations yet, but from what we're seeing so far, we can already tell that their drawings are going to be really worth seeing.
